 THE MISSION OF CLI

The Mission of Christian Library International

The Mission of Christian Library International is to serve prison inmates with Christian books, Bibles and materials.

Why Christian books??

Because the average US prison has about 1,000 inmates and just one chaplain. A chaplain can not spend time ministering to inmates but a Christian book or Bible is available all day long. From the beginning, CLI has seen much fruit in the prisons.

I would like to express my deepest appreciation to you for the books and Bibles you recently donated to the residents here at Lee Correctional Institution.  This material will prove to be a valuable source of information and spiritual guidance to the residents.  The labor of love you have shared on our behalf is greatly needed and deeply appreciated.  W.C. Wilks, Senior Chaplain, Lee Correctional Institution, South Carolina

I prayed on September 7, 2007 and trusted Jesus as my Savior from the scripture that you mailed to me.  Thank you for this.  I so need it in my life.  I just lost my husband and my kids went to live else where and I lost myself in drugs to kill the pain.  Now I'm in jail for letting myself be dragged down with the wrong people.  Please pray for me and my family.  Inmate, Jessica H., Marion County Jail, Ocala FL

I love the Lord and I help other struggling Christians out and we lift each other up with scriptures, studies and daily readings.  They are all encouraging and very uplifting.  Since I gave my life to the Lord, my load has become lighter.  I shine and people see Jesus in me and I try to pique their curiosity and stimulate their spirit to the point of causing them to pursue the peace and the power that is the hallmark of a person that loves the Lord.  Inmate, Vicki, Gadsden Correctional facility, FL

Why is CLI in the prisons? Because lives are being changed every day!

Christian Library International has over 50 prayer team members who pray every every week for CLI and the people we serve. If you would like to join the prayer team, please contact Kathleen Skaar at the address below.
